Horse Anatomy-Skeleton

Sorry for the late post this week!  This one is very short, but the next post should make up for it!

This picture from Wikipedia displays the skeletal structure of the Horse!

One thing to note, is that the carpus, which they also have listed as the knee, is technically the horses wrist.  Where the humerus, ulna, and radius meet is the equivalent to our elbow joint.  What is known in the horse and dog world as the "stifle joint" (not listed here, but its the interaction between the femur, tibia, and fibula) is technically the horses true knee, with their hocks being equivalent to our ankles.  While "knee" "stifle" and "hock" are all correct terms when referring to a lot of quadrupedal animals, I just thought i'd throw in some comparative anatomy for you all!
